In 2017, Jim Byard, Jr. formed Byard Associates, LLC. The strategic development consulting firm handles business development, economic development, and community development. Basically, Jim connects people and projects all across Alabama, and helps folks navigate bureaucracy. 

Jim's professional history gives him a unique perspective. Having served three terms as mayor of his hometown of Prattville, then almost seven years as Director of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), coupled with service on the Boards of Directors of the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Delta Regional Authority, has allowed him to develop friendships with folks all over Alabama and beyond.
